Problem Statement: Pete’s pellets is a wholesale wood pellet company that needed a way to better market their pricing, and services versus other competitors.
Solution: Not only were we able to organize wholesale pellet marketing for the site, but we were also able to better organize flavor choices into categories and additional information like the type of meats typically paired with each wood type. This simplifies the selection process and helps send more traffic to the site if there are additional questions about the almost 25 flavors.
The Solution
The challenge of wholesale pellet supply is to get customers to understand that “the more they buy, the cheaper it is.” We wanted to make sure to get pricing out in front, as we were confident that the distributor had the most competitive prices, and we wanted to reduce confusion and service calls with simple and clear content.
An example of the sales page. Many people coming in to buy pellets are “recreational smokers”, are overwhelmed with options and don’t really know what to purchase with any level of confidence. Here we display what our top sellers are, descriptions of each smoke type, and gave symbols for the meats or cheeses best paired with each. We found that customers were able to get through the purchasing process almost 30% faster, and the bounce rate reduced by 20% because they felt more sure of their decisions to buy.
